Our Story

Vamoosh Music was first created by Thomas Gregory in 2009. With input from a wealth of highly experienced colleagues, Vamoosh sought to meet a demand for accessible and practical material for use in group lessons. New pieces were trialed by ruthless and honest critics, resulting in a thoughtful and detailed curriculum.

Vamoosh offers an innovative and creative approach that aims to develop not just good instrumentalists, but independent, expressive and creative musicians. The emphasis on music as a group activity, helps to nurture note-reading, listening and improvisation skills, making the musical journey enjoyable for both teacher and student alike. The wide selection of varied and motivating pieces cunningly guide the player through a series of simple steps, helping to form the foundations of a strong technique with love and attention to detail. 

The characterful backing-tracks provide a musical, as well as rhythmical context to support practice at home, helping parents with no musical background support their child's development.
